Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, located on the west coast of the Chita Peninsula facing Ise Bay, is the gateway to Chubu Centrair International Airport, and is known nationwide as a city of pottery with a long and narrow terrain of 6km east-west and 16km north-south. Tokoname ware, which has a history of 1000 years, is one of the six ancient kilns in Japan.
