What is Nambu Ironware?
Nambu ironware is a traditional craft made in Morioka and Oshu in Iwate prefecture.
Nambu ironware was born in the wake of the “tea ceremony” that was popular among feudal lords during the Edo period.
Starting with black and having a very “iron” texture, today there are also colorful ones such as red and blue.
