This is a handmade Kyusu Teapot Yunomi Teacup set by Tokoname ware craftsman Tomohiro Sawada.
This Kyusu Teapot Yunomi Teacup set is made by a Tokoname ware artisan who can only make about 10 pieces a day as each piece is handmade.
This is a handmade Kyusu Teapot made by combining the traditional Tokoname ware firing method called “Ko Tokoname ware” with the long-established Tokoname ware Kyusu Teapot making technique.

Mr. Sawada uses a unique blend of pottery clay to recreate the firing method of “Ko Tokoname ware,” which is known as 1,000-year-old pottery.
It has an expressive texture.
Kyusu Teapot is perfect for enjoying a cup of carefully selected green tea to your heart’s content.

“A sharp spout that won’t drip green tea”
The bottom of the spout is not straight, so tea does not drip from the spout.

The Kyusu Teapot is designed to allow you to brew green tea without using a metal tea strainer, and by simply placing green tea leaves into the Kyusu Teapot and pouring hot water, you can brew delicious green tea to the last drop.
