Tono Hinoki cypress is a high quality Hinoki cypress that lived in the Tono area of Gifu Prefecture. Due to the harsh winters, Hinoki cypress grows more slowly than other Hinoki cypresses in other regions, and is characterized by finely overlapping growth rings.
