A washi(Japanese paper) maker in Ichikawa Daimon, Yamanashi Prefecture
Ohnao has created a series of everyday products, “SIWA |紙和”, that expands the possibilities of paper, with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa.

Mr. Fukasawa used Naolon, an unbreakable shoji paper developed by Ohnao,
We found out that a new texture was created by crumpling, and proposed a design for everyday items that made use of that kindness.

The name “SIWA |紙和” means “paper wrinkle” and ” SIWA |紙和”, the opposite of 和紙 | WASHI( Japanese paper ) .
We carefully refine Japanese paper and produce it one by one like sewing leather.
